Since I, personally, am more used to using veneer in small applications such as the drawer fronts on this recently completed silverware box, I occasionally forget how often it can be used in large architectural settings.
Veneer paneling would work wonderfully for wainscoting walls of a room, adding a decorative touch to the inside of an archway, or wrapping structural columns as seen here (photo from construction.com)
